Pet care Dog Walkers Northampton

We understand just how worrying it can be to lose a pet and that is why we encourage owners to properly identify all their pets, whether it is a dog, cat, rabbit, so that, when found, they can be returned to you as quickly as possible. As a pet owner, you have a legal requirement to ensure that your pet is under your control and that includes proper identification with a suitable collar and tag. In some cases, these can come astray and a microchip is vital as a permanent form of identification that will be in place for life.

Petlog is the largest pet reunification service in the UK, and it's database stores over 2,000,000 records. This is on hand 24 hours a day to authorised bodies such as dog wardens or animal welfare centres, who can scan the chips in found animals and trace their owners via the Petlog database. Petlog provides a wide range of services for owners of microchipped animals.

If you move house, it is vital that you let Petlog know your new address details. Pets often become unsettled in new surroundings and may try to go back to their previous address! If Petlog do not have your new address, you and your pet cannot be reunited if he or she strays or is lost.

As a Petlog member you can provide us with your holiday address. Should your pet run away while you are on holiday, your hotel details will be made available to authorised bodies such as dog wardens so that you can be reunited.
